By-Election Polling Ongoing In NA-128 Multan With Security

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Voting for the National Assembly (NA) seat, NA-128 Multan, commenced on Sunday under tight security measures. Eight candidates are competing for the seat, with a closely contested race expected between Ali Qasim Gilani of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Ahmed Hussain Dehr representing the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, and Taimur Altaf from the SIC party.

Polling began at 8 am and will continue until 5 pm without interruption, with authorities implementing strict security protocols due to heightened militant threats. The NA-128 seat became vacant after Senator Yousuf Raza Gilani resigned to assume the role of Senate Chairman.

According to data from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), there are 213,333 registered voters in the constituency, comprising 111,639 male voters and 101,694 female voters.
