[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In a setback for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed the nomination papers of Azam Swati, Murad Saeed, and other party members for the upcoming Senate elections.
Numerous politicians submitted their nomination papers for the 48 Senate seats available, with PTI nominating prominent figures for the upper house polls.

According to reports from local media, the nomination papers of eight candidates for the technocrat seat in the Senate were approved, while those of PTI’s Azam Swati for the same seat were rejected. Additionally, the nomination papers of Murad Saeed, former Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, and Khurram Zeeshan were also invalidated.
However, the Election Commission accepted the nomination papers of six female candidates for the reserved seats for women.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
