DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates is enhancing efforts to boost its economy through tourism by implementing a more accessible visa system. As part of these initiatives, starting from February 1st, citizens of Armenia will enjoy visa-free travel to the emirate.

The UAE government aims to facilitate tourism by allowing citizens of the Republic of Armenia to enter, exit, and transit through the UAE without requiring an entry visa or associated fees.

It’s noteworthy that Armenia reciprocates by providing a streamlined visa process for UAE passport holders, allowing them visa-free access to the country for up to 180 days within a year. The United Arab Emirates already holds a robust passport ranking 11th globally in the Henley Passport Index, providing extensive visa-free access for its holders.

Armenia, situated in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia, is a landlocked country with a rich history dating back to ancient times. Surrounded by Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Iran, Armenia boasts diverse landscapes, including mountains, valleys, and the picturesque Lake Sevan.

The capital, Yerevan, is a vibrant city that harmoniously blends modernity with tradition. Visitors can immerse themselves in the historical sites such as the ancient Garni Temple, the medieval Tatev Monastery, and the poignant Armenian Genocide Memorial. With warm hospitality, delectable cuisine, and a unique cultural heritage, Armenia promises a captivating experience for travelers.

The UAE’s decision to offer visa-free travel to citizens of Armenia aligns with its strategy to encourage tourism and stimulate economic growth. This move not only fosters bilateral relations but also opens up opportunities for cultural exchange and mutual exploration of the diverse offerings each country has to offer.
