[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in the UK is currently investigating allegations made by Zayna Iman, a 38-year-old Pakistani woman, who accuses Greater Manchester Police (GMP) of stripping, drugging, and sexually assaulting her while in custody at Pendleton Police Station in February 2021.
The IOPC is treating the charges seriously and aims to maintain public trust in the police force. The investigation involves examining available video evidence, including missing CCTV footage from her 40-hour detention.

GMP has denied the claims, stating that one of the CCTV discs was corrupted, leading to the loss of the original footage.
Another woman, Sinead Foley, has also made similar claims against Birmingham police.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
