Islamabad Police Fined 80,000 Helmetless Bikers This Year

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has issued over 82,500 fines to motorcyclists without helmets in 2023. The police department is dedicated to enforcing traffic discipline and holding irresponsible drivers accountable.

Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Mustafa Tanveer leads a campaign to raise awareness of traffic rules, under the orders of Inspector General of Police Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The police have also intensified their crackdown on traffic signal violations, taking strict action against offenders.

Special enforcement squads are active on major roads, enforcing the law against violators, while efforts are underway to implement an automated traffic monitoring system for swift action against lawbreakers.
