Shiraz Uppal’s Musical Journey Hindered by Father’s MBA Condition

On the chat show Chocolate Times, Uppal revealed that his father, an army officer, was initially against his music passion. However, his father agreed to let him pursue music on the condition that he completes his MBA.

Reflecting on the early days of his career in 1995, Uppal mentioned the lack of support he received initially. He shared that despite his father’s derogatory remarks about his passion, he persisted and eventually gained popularity with his second album, “Tera Tay Mera.”

Uppal also discussed the impact of social media, particularly TikTok, on the music industry, acknowledging how it has made it easier for artists to gain instant fame. He humorously commented on the evolving definition of an “artist,” noting that even TikTok stars are now referred to as artists.

Looking ahead, Uppal expressed his commitment to releasing more music, promising to release a single almost every month. After focusing on film songs and OSTs for a decade, he is excited to make a comeback in the pop music scene.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
