The Balochistan government has launched a new personalised vehicle registration number plate scheme under the special directive of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The initiative allows vehicle owners in the province to obtain customised registration numbers featuring their names, initials, or preferred combinations of letters and numbers.
According to an official announcement, the scheme has been divided into two main categories based on pricing and eligibility. The Platinum Category offers premium personalised registration numbers for a fee of Rs5 million, targeting high-value and exclusive number preferences.
The second option, known as the Corporate Category, is designed for businesses and organisations. It provides customised registration numbers at a cost ranging between Rs500,000 and Rs1 million, allowing companies to align vehicle identity with branding purposes.
Promotional material shared by authorities shows examples of personalised plates such as “KAKAR 1”, “SIBI 1”, and “LEHRI 1”, highlighting the type of unique combinations available under the scheme. Officials say the system is intended to offer flexibility while modernising vehicle registration services.
The provincial government stated that the initiative is open to all vehicle owners across Balochistan. It is also expected to generate additional revenue for the province while giving citizens a chance to secure distinctive registration numbers for personal or professional use.
Applications for the scheme can be submitted online through the provincial excise department. The registration process will remain open until June 30, 2026, allowing interested applicants sufficient time to apply under the new system.
