In the anthology film “Teri Meri Kahaniyaan,” Munawar acted alongside Ramsha Khan in the segment titled “Pasoori,” which marked the directorial debut of Marina Khan.

Simultaneously, Munawar’s own creation, a telefilm called “Budhi Ghori Lal Lagam,” which he wrote and directed, focused on the love story of an elderly couple.

Expressing his gratitude on Instagram three days after the telefilm premiered on television, Munawar thanked his fans and industry colleagues for their love and support.

Munawar provided the YouTube link to the telefilm for those who missed the television broadcast. He expressed gratitude to the producers for believing in his work and choosing a narrative rarely explored on Pakistani television.

The telefilm, “Budhi Ghori Lal Lagam,” breaks away from stereotypical storylines and portrays an elderly couple, played by Shahid and Raheal, who embrace a carefree lifestyle after raising their children.

The story explores societal taboos and the reactions of different members of society to senior citizens leading independent lives.

Critics have praised the exceptional performances of Shahid and Raheal, adding humor and heartwarming moments to the telefilm. The chemistry and acting prowess of the cast, along with the romantic cameos by Khan and Saeed, contribute to the charm and grandeur of the production.

“Budhi Ghori Lal Lagam” features an ensemble cast that includes Ahsan Khan, Sarwat Gillani, Behroze Sabzwari, Asma Abbas, Huma Nawab, and Aadi Adeal Amjad.
