The Punjab government has opened applications for Phase II of the Chief Minister’s Magnificent Tourism Internship Program. The program offers paid internships to eligible graduates across the province.
The three-month internship comes with a monthly stipend of Rs60,000. Eligible candidates can apply online until September 15, 2026.
The Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department is managing the program. It aims to give young graduates practical experience in tourism, archaeology, heritage and museum-related fields.
Applicants must be between 21 and 28 years old. They must also hold a Punjab domicile to qualify for the internship.
Candidates must have at least 16 years of education from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission. Their degree must be related to one of the fields listed under the program.
Eligible fields include tourism and hospitality management, history, archaeology, business administration and marketing. Information technology, computer science, architecture and fine arts graduates can also apply.
Civil engineering, anthropology, economics, global hospitality and culinary arts are also included. Museum studies, heritage and cultural studies, media and communication are among the other eligible fields.
Visual communication design graduates can also apply. Candidates with degrees in other similar fields may also qualify. Applicants should check the official portal to confirm their eligibility before applying.
Selected interns will work for three months and receive Rs60,000 each month. The stipend will be paid through banking channels. Payments will depend on attendance and performance.
The internship does not guarantee permanent employment with the Punjab government. Instead, it is designed to provide temporary training and practical workplace experience.
Interns may be placed at different tourism, archaeology and museum offices across Punjab. Possible placements include the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab, Department of Tourist Services, Directorate General of Archaeology and Lahore Museum.
The department may also assign interns to other relevant offices. Placements will depend on available positions and the preferred district mentioned in the application.
Attendance will be monitored through a GPS-enabled mobile application. Interns will be required to log in and out from their assigned workplaces.
Each intern can take up to two approved leaves per month. Additional leave may result in a deduction from the monthly stipend.
Interns will also have to follow official working hours and maintain punctuality. They must complete assigned tasks and follow workplace rules set by the department.

Candidates will also need to upload the required documents, including educational records and domicile documents. Applicants should carefully review all information before submitting the form.
The department has advised candidates not to pay anyone for registration or selection. Applicants should use the official online portal for the application process.
