The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a global call for its Digital, AI and Innovation Internship 2026, offering Pakistani students and recent graduates an opportunity to work on international technology and development projects through a fully remote program.
The internship is hosted by UNDP’s Digital, AI and Innovation (DAI) Hub and focuses on using emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, systems innovation, and data governance to address global challenges including poverty, climate change, and inequality.
The program is open to students currently enrolled in Master’s or PhD degrees, final-year undergraduate students, and recent graduates from Pakistani or international universities within the last year. Applicants must demonstrate strong English language skills, along with analytical and research abilities, and a keen interest in using AI and digital tools for public service improvement and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Successful candidates from Pakistan will receive a monthly stipend as per UNDP policy, along with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a leading global development organization. The remote structure of the program allows participants to work from Pakistan while contributing to international projects.
In addition to technical exposure, the internship offers networking opportunities with global experts in AI and development, aiming to strengthen career prospects for young professionals in Pakistan’s growing tech and data sectors.
Applicants are required to submit their CV and cover letter through the official UNDP Careers platform and complete an additional Airtable application form. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the final deadline set for September 30, 2026.
