Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan after a closely contested selection process. She will now represent Pakistan internationally.
The announcement was made during a ceremony in the Philippines. Miss Universe Pakistan franchise owner Josh Yugen presented Arshad with her official sash.
Her predecessor, Roma Riaz, placed the crown on her head during the ceremony. The moment marked Arshad’s official start as Pakistan’s representative.
Misbah Arshad secured the title after delivering a strong response during the final question. Philippine musician and actor Bailey May presented the question.
The question asked Arshad to imagine meeting her 10-year-old and 80-year-old selves. She was asked which version would ask her the tougher question.
Arshad said her younger self would ask the more difficult question. She explained that her 10-year-old self would want to know about her future.
She said she would tell her younger self about the challenges she faced. Arshad acknowledged that she had experienced failure at different stages.
However, she said she continued moving forward despite those setbacks. Her response focused on resilience, hope and personal growth.
Arshad has previous experience in international beauty pageants. She represented Pakistan at Miss International 2023 in Japan.
She also represented the country at Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland. Her previous experience gives her an international background ahead of the upcoming competition.
Misbah Arshad will now represent Pakistan at the 75th Miss Universe competition. The event will take place in Puerto Rico.
Following her victory, Arshad spoke about her approach to success and failure. She said failure does not decide whether someone becomes a winner.
She emphasized the importance of continuing to hope and work hard. She also highlighted the need for constant improvement.
Her coronation outfit also carried symbolic meaning. She wore a white gown with a crystal-covered bodice.
The gown was designed by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển. Arshad explained the meaning behind the colors used in her coronation dress.
According to her, the white color represented hope. The royal blue crystals represented education and knowledge.
She linked the symbolism to continuous learning and personal development. The outfit therefore reflected themes that were important to her.
Misbah Arshad’s victory makes her the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the country at Miss Universe. Her selection adds another chapter to Pakistan’s participation in the international pageant.
Her upcoming appearance in Puerto Rico will give her an opportunity to represent Pakistan on a global platform. She will compete against contestants from around the world.
