Punjab Assembly member and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Saqib Chadhar has responded after actress Aruba Mirza allegedly shared screenshots of old messages she claimed were sent by him.
Recently, Aruba Mirza posted screenshots on her Instagram account, describing them as old messages from Saqib Chadhar. While tagging actresses Momina Iqbal and Syeda Tuba Anwar, she claimed she had gone through a similar experience and described it as the reality of the country’s ruling class.
Following the social media posts, Saqib Chadhar addressed the matter through his own Instagram story. He rejected the allegations and denied that the messages shared by Aruba Mirza were sent by him.
The PML-N lawmaker stated that the messages originated from a fake account and clarified that he only uses his official Instagram account. He said the screenshots did not belong to his verified profile and should not be linked to him.
Chadhar also dismissed any suggestion of a personal relationship with the actress. He stated that Aruba Mirza was never important in his life and said their names should not be connected in the manner being portrayed on social media.
The Punjab Assembly member further said that disagreements and rivalries are a part of life. However, he added that even opponents should maintain respect and dignity while making public statements or allegations.
The exchange has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with users expressing mixed opinions over the claims made by both sides. So far, neither party has provided independent evidence to verify their respective claims, and the matter remains a subject of online debate.
