The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced a fresh recruitment drive for candidates seeking to join as Commissioned Officers in multiple branches under both the Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission/Special Purpose Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC).
According to the official announcement, online registration will open on July 22, 2026, and remain available until August 3, 2026. Interested applicants can submit their applications through the official PAF website, while possessing a valid NADRA Smart Card is mandatory for registration.
Under the Permanent Commission, vacancies have been announced for the 162 General Duty Pilot Course, 108 Aeronautical Engineering Course, 118 Air Defence Course, 37 Admin and Special Duties Course, and the 10 Logistics Course.
Meanwhile, the SSC/SPSSC recruitment includes positions in the 138 Education Branch, 138 Engineering Branch, 138 Accounts Branch, and 138 IT Branch, offering opportunities for graduates from a range of academic disciplines.
For most Permanent Commission courses, applicants must be 16 to 22 years old as of April 15, 2027, unmarried, and meet the prescribed educational, physical, and medical standards. Candidates are generally required to have at least 65 percent marks in F.Sc, A-Level, DAE, or an equivalent qualification in relevant subjects.
The age limit for SSC branches generally ranges between 20 and 26 years, while some categories allow applicants up to 29 years of age. Graduates in fields such as Engineering, Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounts, Management Sciences, English, Psychology, Mathematics, and other relevant disciplines are eligible to apply.
The recruitment process will begin with online registration, followed by an intelligence test and an academic examination based on the selected branch. Successful candidates will undergo an initial medical examination and interview at PAF Information and Selection Centres.
Applicants shortlisted after the initial stage will appear before the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB), followed by a final medical examination. The Air Headquarters will make the final selection.
Candidates are advised to apply online between July 22 and August 3, 2026, and report to their selected PAF Information and Selection Centre on the scheduled date with their original CNIC or Form B, educational documents, passport-size photographs, and other required certificates.
