Kashif Zameer Booked over Fake Europe Job Promise

LAHORE: A criminal case has been registered in Lahore against well-known TikToker Kashif Zameer after he was accused of taking money from a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) official by falsely promising to arrange employment and travel to a European country.

The complaint was lodged by CTD Karachi official Dost Muhammad Khan at Mozang Police Station. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant said he became acquainted with Kashif Zameer through social media, where the two developed a friendship.

The FIR states that Zameer allegedly convinced the CTD officer that he could help him secure an opportunity to move to Europe. Believing the promise, the complainant transferred Rs194,000 to the TikToker. However, after receiving the money, the promised arrangements were allegedly never made.

The complainant further claimed that when he demanded either progress on the overseas arrangement or the return of his money, Kashif Zameer allegedly began threatening him. According to the FIR, the TikToker reportedly warned him of serious consequences, including threats to his life, in an effort to force him to withdraw the complaint.

Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway and said further legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the inquiry.

This is not the first time Kashif Zameer has found himself facing legal trouble. Earlier, Lahore’s Crime Control Department (CCD) arrested him for allegedly posting videos on social media that featured armed security guards wearing official-style uniforms. Authorities viewed the videos as promoting the public display of weapons and registered two separate cases against Zameer and the security personnel involved.

During his detention, the TikToker released a video statement apologizing for uploading the clips. He admitted that promoting weapons on social media was a mistake, assured authorities that he would not repeat such actions, and requested forgiveness.

Kashif Zameer previously made headlines after bringing Turkish actor Engin Altan Düzyatan, best known for playing Ertuğrul in the hit historical drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul, to Pakistan. Despite his popularity on social media, he has repeatedly faced legal scrutiny over various controversies. The latest case adds another chapter to his ongoing legal challenges, with investigators now examining the allegations of fraud and intimidation.
