The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the application procedure, service charges, and delivery timelines for issuing Juvenile Cards to children under the age of 18. The initiative is designed to make it easier for parents and legal guardians to obtain official identity cards for their children while ensuring a smooth and transparent registration process.
According to NADRA, children must first be registered before applying for a Juvenile Card. Once the registration process is completed, applicants will receive a token that allows them to proceed with the Juvenile Card application. The authority said this step is necessary to ensure that all records are properly maintained before the card is issued.
As part of the application process, the child’s photograph and fingerprints will be collected. In addition, biometric verification of the father, mother, or legal guardian will be required to confirm the applicant’s identity. After all the required information is entered into the system, an approval officer will review and verify the application before it is processed further.
NADRA said that applications for Juvenile Cards can only be submitted by the child’s father, mother, or legal guardian. Applicants must provide the fingerprints of the parents or guardian, a valid mobile phone number, an email address, and details of the child’s computerized birth certificate. These requirements are intended to ensure accurate identification and secure recordkeeping.
The authority has introduced three service categories for the issuance of Juvenile Cards. Under the Normal Service, applicants will pay a fee of Rs750, and the card will be delivered within 31 days. The Urgent Service costs Rs1,500 and offers delivery within 23 days. Those requiring faster processing can choose the Executive Service, which costs Rs2,500 and provides delivery within just 9 days.
NADRA has advised citizens to carefully complete all application requirements to avoid delays in processing. The authority also encouraged applicants seeking further assistance to contact its helpline or visit the official website for detailed guidance regarding Juvenile Card registration, required documents, fees, and delivery schedules.
