Saudi Investors Eye Three Major Motorway Projects

Saudi investors have shown interest in participating in Pakistan’s major motorway development projects following a meeting between Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and Saudi Pakistan Joint Business Council Chairman Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud.

According to an official statement, the discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation and exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan’s road infrastructure sector. During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan encouraged Saudi businesses to consider investing in several key motorway projects currently planned by the government.

The minister highlighted three major projects, including the M6 Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, the M10 Karachi Port Motorway, and the M13 Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway. He said these initiatives hold significant commercial value and offer promising returns for foreign investors looking to expand their presence in Pakistan.

Abdul Aleem Khan noted that the development of modern road infrastructure is essential for improving transportation, boosting trade activity, and enhancing regional connectivity. He emphasized that an expanded motorway network would support economic growth and facilitate smoother movement of goods and people across the country.

During the meeting, Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud expressed the Saudi Pakistan Joint Business Council’s strong interest in increasing cooperation in the communications and infrastructure sectors. He stated that the council is ready to examine investment opportunities in motorway and transport-related projects and looks forward to strengthening economic partnerships with Pakistan.

The communications minister assured the Saudi delegation that the government is committed to supporting international investors. He said authorities would provide necessary facilitation and introduce practical investment models designed to encourage participation in infrastructure development projects.

Abdul Aleem Khan also underlined the longstanding and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing the bond between the two nations as historic and deeply rooted.

Prince Mansour welcomed the prospects for future collaboration and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to promoting stronger investment and business ties between the two countries. He expressed confidence that enhanced cooperation could create new opportunities for economic growth and mutual benefit.
