Punjab authorities have started strict action against private schools violating official holiday rules. Several schools were sealed during a crackdown in Changa Manga. The action was taken over non-compliance with Summer Vacation instructions.
According to officials, the operation was conducted under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kasur. Teams inspected schools that remained open despite clear government orders for Summer Vacation.
Reports confirmed that multiple private schools were operating during the scheduled holiday period. Authorities immediately moved to enforce the rules.
During the crackdown, several institutions were sealed in Changa Manga. These included Leeds School, Sindhu Model School, Quaid-e-Azam Public School, and Hazara Public School.
Officials said these schools ignored the official Summer Vacation schedule announced by the provincial government. The administration said compliance is mandatory for all educational institutions.
The Punjab government had already issued a province-wide holiday schedule. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced the Summer Vacation period earlier this year.
He confirmed that schools would remain closed from May 22 to August 23. The decision was taken due to rising temperatures and heatwave conditions across the province.
Authorities said the main purpose of the Summer Vacation policy is to protect students. The extreme heat during this period can pose health risks.
District officials warned that enforcement actions will continue against any school violating the rules. Monitoring teams have been deployed across different areas.
They also stated that no institution will be allowed to operate during official holidays. Any violation of the Summer Vacation schedule will lead to strict action.
Education authorities across Punjab are coordinating to ensure full compliance. Surprise inspections are also being carried out in multiple districts.
Officials said the Changa Manga crackdown is part of a wider enforcement drive. Similar operations may continue in other regions if violations are found.
The administration emphasized that student safety remains the top priority. Following the Summer Vacation schedule is necessary to avoid health risks during extreme weather.
