Sindh Cabinet Approves New Bridge, Road Repairs and Development Projects

The Sindh Cabinet has approved several major development projects in the province. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The decisions focus on infrastructure, transport, and public services.

A key approval includes the design of a new bridge over the Indus River. The bridge will connect Hyderabad and Kotri. Officials said the project will improve traffic flow. It will also strengthen connectivity across different parts of Sindh.

The chief minister stated that the bridge will reduce travel time for commuters. It is also expected to support trade and daily transportation needs. The project is seen as an important step for regional development in Sindh.

In another major decision, the cabinet approved Rs. 6.5 billion for road rehabilitation in Karachi. The government has instructed officials to start repair work immediately. Fast release of funds has also been directed to ensure quick progress.

The cabinet also allocated Rs. 2 billion for the S-3 drainage project in Karachi. This project aims to improve the city’s drainage and wastewater system. It is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade urban infrastructure in Sindh.

In addition, Rs. 48.9 million has been approved for digitalizing the district judicial system. Officials said this step will modernize court operations. It will also make legal processes more efficient and accessible.

The Sindh government also approved Rs. 432.597 million for the construction of four new courts in Moro. This move is expected to improve access to justice in rural areas of Sindh.

Furthermore, Rs. 25 million was sanctioned for Pir Ilahi Bux Law College in Dadu. The funds will support educational development and institutional improvement.

Officials said these decisions show the government’s focus on balanced development in Sindh. The emphasis remains on transport, urban services, and judicial reforms.
