FBISE has released a new schedule for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations at overseas centres. The board confirmed that exams, which were postponed earlier, will now resume in selected Gulf countries.
According to FBISE, SSC Part-I annual examinations for 2026 will begin on May 5. The revised plan applies to centres in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
The announcement comes after exams were partially delayed in March. The postponement was linked to regional tensions that affected examination arrangements in some overseas locations.
At that time, FBISE reviewed the conditions in various countries. Based on the assessment, the board continued exams in some regions while delaying them in Iran, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain.
The decision was taken to ensure the safety of students and smooth conduct of examinations. The board wanted to avoid disruption in areas facing operational challenges.
With the revised schedule now confirmed, students in the affected countries can prepare for their upcoming exams. The board has asked all candidates to remain ready for the new timetable.
FBISE also stated that detailed examination arrangements will be shared separately. Institutions and students will receive the official date sheet in due course.
The board advised schools, overseas centres, and candidates to make all necessary preparations. This includes confirming logistics and ensuring readiness before the examinations begin.
The revised plan is aimed at helping students complete their academic year without further delay. It also provides clarity to families and institutions waiting for updated information.
Overseas examinations are an important part of FBISE’s academic operations. The board regularly manages assessments for Pakistani students studying abroad.
By announcing the new schedule, FBISE has given reassurance to students in the affected regions. The move is expected to support a smooth examination process in the coming weeks.
