Pakistani television host Mathira has shared her views on the challenges faced by men in society, saying they are often expected to carry heavy responsibilities while hiding their emotions.
In a recent interview, Mathira discussed various aspects of life and spoke about the pressures experienced by both men and women. She said that while women’s issues receive significant attention, the emotional struggles faced by men are often overlooked.
Supporting the male perspective, Mathira said many men face serious challenges in society but rarely receive understanding or sympathy. She added that people sometimes form opinions quickly when allegations involve men without first trying to understand the complete situation.
According to Mathira, society has turned men into “machines” by placing constant responsibilities on them while paying little attention to their emotional well-being. She said many men are expected to remain strong regardless of the difficulties they face in their personal or professional lives.
The television host added that some men become overwhelmed by financial and family responsibilities, making it difficult for them to fully perform their roles as fathers, brothers, or husbands. She said they are often judged harshly despite carrying significant burdens.
Mathira also highlighted the issue of mental health among men. She said many men suffer from depression but struggle to express their emotions because they fear being seen as weak. According to her, some even hesitate to share their feelings with close friends due to societal expectations that men should always remain emotionally strong.
Her remarks have sparked discussion on social media, with many users agreeing that men’s mental health deserves greater attention, while others stressed the importance of supporting the emotional well-being of both men and women equally.
