Eidul Fitr Celebrated Nationwide with Devotion and Festivity

Eid-ul-Fitr is being observed across Pakistan today with deep religious enthusiasm and devotion. Large prayer gatherings were held in mosques, Eidgahs, and open spaces nationwide, where millions of Muslims offered special prayers and supplications.

Worshippers prayed for the country’s security, progress, and prosperity, along with peace and stability across the Muslim world. Following the Sunnah, many people wore new clothes and applied fragrance before attending prayers. Afterward, they warmly greeted each other, celebrating the spirit of Eid together.

Strict security measures were put in place across the country to ensure safe and peaceful celebrations.

President Asif Ali Zardari’s Message
President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt Eid greetings, describing the occasion as a reward for the عبادت, patience, and sacrifice demonstrated during Ramadan. He said Eid marks the beginning of a renewed spiritual journey rooted in Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

He emphasized the importance of carrying forward Ramadan’s teachings—such as patience, tolerance, compassion, justice, and unity—into everyday life. He also highlighted the need to promote social harmony and share happiness with the underprivileged, including orphans and the needy.

The president called on citizens to reaffirm their commitment to national unity, constitutional supremacy, and the rule of law, stressing that Pakistan’s progress and stability depend on collective responsibility. He also prayed for unity in the Muslim Ummah and global peace.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Message
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm Eid wishes to Pakistanis and Muslims worldwide, calling Eid a blessed and joyous occasion reflecting Allah’s mercy and blessings. He said the day symbolizes gratitude for the spiritual discipline observed during Ramadan.

He stressed austerity, responsible governance, and the importance of implementing Islamic values in daily life. Highlighting Eid’s message, he noted it represents patience, unity, selflessness, and collective responsibility.

The prime minister urged inclusion of underprivileged communities in celebrations and appreciated the government’s digital wallet initiative supporting vulnerable groups. He also expressed solidarity with those suffering in conflict regions like Gaza, calling for unity among Muslims.

He concluded by praying for global peace, stability, and harmony, expressing hope that Eid fosters brotherhood, tolerance, and shared progress worldwide.
