Ramzan Cricket Tournament 2026 CDA Invites Young Talent

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced open trials for its Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament 2026. Aspiring cricketers from Islamabad are invited to participate and showcase their skills.

The trials will be conducted by the CDA’s Directorate of Sports & Culture under the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad. The selection process will take place over three days at two venues in the city. Players chosen from these trials will compete in the upcoming tournament.

The women’s trials are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CDA National Cricket Ground. Officials highlighted that the trials may also provide an opportunity for talented players to join the CDA Women’s Cricket Team.

The men’s trials were initially planned earlier but were postponed due to weather conditions. They will now be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Diamond Cricket Ground in G-8/2 Islamabad.

Participants are required to bring their original Form-B or Smart National Identity Card and two recent passport-sized color photographs. CDA officials emphasized that Form-B will be preferred over CNIC for verification.

The CDA has stated that the tournament is part of its broader initiative to promote sports and encourage young talent. The event provides a structured platform for players to compete at an organized level during the holy month of Ramzan.

Officials said they hope the trials will attract talented cricketers from across the city. The CDA aims to strengthen local cricket talent and offer a pathway for emerging players to develop their skills.
