Railways Ministry Announces Dismissal Over Narcotics Use at Workplace

The Ministry of Railways has issued an official warning after reports surfaced that some employees were allegedly using drugs during office hours. The ministry has taken serious notice of the matter and released a circular directing staff to immediately stop such activities within workplace premises.

The circular clearly highlights concerns about the use of narcotics inside government offices. Officials stated that several workers were caught consuming drugs while on duty, which raised questions about discipline, safety, and professionalism within the department. The ministry described the behavior as unacceptable and harmful to the working environment.

All employees have now been strictly instructed to avoid the use of any illegal substances during office hours or inside ministry buildings. Authorities stressed that government offices must remain safe, respectful, and professional spaces where employees can carry out their responsibilities without risk or disruption.

The circular also warned that drug use is not only a violation of workplace rules but also a criminal offense under the law. Any staff member found involved in the consumption, possession, or distribution of narcotics will face strong disciplinary action. Penalties may include suspension, termination of employment, and possible legal proceedings.

Officials emphasized that the ministry will adopt a zero-tolerance policy to prevent such incidents in the future. They said maintaining discipline and ensuring a healthy work environment is essential for the smooth functioning of the department and for public trust.

The Ministry of Railways reaffirmed its commitment to strict monitoring and enforcement of rules. By taking these measures, it aims to promote responsibility among employees and ensure that all staff members follow professional standards at all times.
