Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced new partnerships with rail service providers in Canada and the United Kingdom to improve travel convenience for its passengers. The initiative is aimed at making onward journeys smoother for travelers flying to major international destinations.
According to a statement issued by a PIA spokesperson, the national carrier has introduced an air-to-rail travel arrangement designed to assist passengers arriving in Toronto and various cities in the UK. This new facility allows travelers to reach their final destinations more easily without the hassle of arranging separate transportation after landing.
Under the arrangement, passengers can now book their train journeys along with their PIA flights on a single ticket. This integrated booking system removes the need for separate rail reservations, helping passengers save time and simplify their travel plans. The spokesperson noted that the move is part of PIA’s efforts to enhance passenger experience by offering seamless and efficient travel solutions.
For passengers arriving in Toronto, the partnership provides access to rail connections to eight major cities across Canada through PIA’s partnered rail network. This means travelers can continue their journey to different parts of the country using a single, coordinated travel plan.
Similarly, passengers flying with PIA to London and Manchester can now connect to more than 50 cities across the United Kingdom via linked rail services. This expanded connectivity offers greater flexibility and convenience, particularly for passengers traveling beyond major airports.
PIA further stated that passengers can avail themselves of the air-and-rail booking option through multiple channels. Tickets can be purchased at PIA booking offices, via registered travel agents, on the official PIA website, or through the airline’s mobile application.
