Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has strengthened travel links between Pakistan and China by expanding access to its Beijing-Islamabad route through new cooperation arrangements with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines. The move allows passengers from 25 Chinese cities to conveniently connect to PIA’s direct service between Beijing and Islamabad.
The initiative is designed to make travel easier for students, tourists, business professionals, and families while further promoting trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and China. Officials believe the enhanced connectivity will support growing demand for travel between the two countries.
Under its partnership with Air China, PIA passengers can now connect to the Beijing-Islamabad route from 16 Chinese cities. These include major destinations such as Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Urumqi. The arrangement provides travelers with greater flexibility and a wider range of departure options.
In addition, PIA’s collaboration with Shenzhen Airlines extends access to the route from nine more Chinese cities. These destinations include Yichun, Xiangyang, Chengdu Tianfu, Quanzhou/Jinjiang, Nantong, Wuxi, Nanning, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
The expanded network enables passengers to travel from any of the participating cities to Islamabad via Beijing using a single ticket. This streamlined booking process is expected to improve convenience and reduce travel-related complications for customers.
To further attract travelers, PIA has introduced competitive through fares from all 25 partner cities. The reduced ticket prices are expected to benefit Pakistani students studying in China, business travelers, tourists, and Chinese visitors planning trips to Pakistan.
According to airline officials, the enhanced partnerships demonstrate PIA’s commitment to improving regional connectivity and strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and China. The initiative is also expected to encourage tourism, educational exchanges, business activities, and cultural cooperation.
Passengers can book tickets through PIA offices, authorized travel agents, and online reservation platforms. Travelers are advised to contact their nearest PIA office or travel consultant for complete booking and travel information.
