Uzbekistan Airways is set to launch direct flights between Tashkent and Islamabad starting on May 24, 2025, marking a significant step towards enhancing air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. This new service is the result of collaborative efforts between Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Pakistan and the national airline, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and promoting travel and trade between the two countries.
Initially, flights will operate once a week, every Saturday. The airline and Pakistan’s civil aviation authorities are currently finalizing the necessary arrangements for the launch. There are plans to increase the frequency of flights gradually, based on demand and operational feasibility, further enhancing connectivity between the two nations.

In addition to the new Tashkent-Islamabad route, Uzbekistan Airways is also considering launching direct flights to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city and its economic center. This move will further open up travel opportunities and provide easier access to key cities in both countries.
At present, the airline operates regular flights on the Tashkent-Lahore route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. The expansion of these routes is expected to strengthen tourism and foster closer cultural and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, benefiting travelers and businesses alike.
