University Lecturer Resigns Amid Sexual Harassment Verdict

Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar has taken strong measures against harassment and corruption within its domain. An instructor at Grade 18 level resigned after being implicated in harassment, corroborating the university’s commitment to addressing misconduct.

This incident follows the recent dismissal of a professor at Grade 21 for plagiarism, further demonstrating the institution’s dedication to upholding academic honesty.

The university’s Anti-Harassment Committee has responded promptly to complaints from both students and staff, reflecting its determination to ensure a safe environment.

KMU’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zia ul Haq, emphasized the university’s resolve to establish an atmosphere free from corruption and misconduct. He affirmed that no external pressures would deter their pursuit of integrity.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted KMU’s policy of zero tolerance towards sexual harassment, plagiarism, and corruption. This policy is strictly applied across all affiliated institutes.

Furthermore, the expulsion of a Class-IV employee due to financial irregularities underscores the university’s commitment to ethical conduct at all levels.
