The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended nine Armed Forces officers for Pakistan’s civil services.
The recommendations were made under the special quota for Armed Forces officers. The officers appeared in the CSS Competitive Examination 2025 process.
The FPSC issued the recommendations in a press release on August 25, 2026. The selected officers completed psychological assessments and viva voce before the final recommendations.
Five Officers Allocated to Pakistan Administrative Service
Five of the recommended officers have been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).
The PAS is one of Pakistan’s major occupational groups. It includes officers serving in important administrative positions across the country.
The officers allocated to PAS are:
- Capt. Syed Shehryar Khan — Pakistan Army
- Capt. Usama Mujtaba — Pakistan Army
- Capt. Haider Ali — Pakistan Army
- Flt. Lt. Usamah Ahmad — Pakistan Air Force

Two Officers Selected for Police Service
Two officers have been allocated to the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
They include Capt. Syed Aique Ur Rahman and Capt. Syed Taimoor Ali. Both officers belong to the Pakistan Army.
Their allocation places them in one of the key occupational groups within Pakistan’s civil services.
Two Officers Allocated to Foreign Service
The remaining two officers have been allocated to the Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP).
Flt. Lt. Ash Ali Masood from the Pakistan Air Force has been allocated to FSP. Capt. Sheraz Ahmed from the Pakistan Army has also received the same allocation.
The Foreign Service deals with Pakistan’s diplomatic and international affairs.
Special Quota for Armed Forces Officers
The CSS system provides a separate selection route for eligible Armed Forces officers.
Under this process, candidates undergo psychological assessments and interviews. The FPSC then evaluates their performance before making recommendations.
The latest recommendations include officers from all three major branches. These are the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, and Pakistan Navy.
The selections cover three occupational groups. These are PAS, PSP, and FSP.
The FPSC also stated that it took necessary measures to ensure the accuracy of the announced results.
However, the commission retained the authority to correct any error or omission. Such corrections can be made at any stage if required.
The latest recommendations mark the induction of nine Armed Forces officers into Pakistan’s civil services through the special quota.
