The ensemble cast includes Faran Tahir, Saleem Mairaj, Raheela Agha, Salman Shahid, Shafqat Cheema, Usman Peerzada, Umer Aalam, Hamza Khawaja, Rabita Ali, Faiza Khan, Omair Rana, Adnan Shah Tipu, Rahim Pardesi, Hammad Siddique, Baatin Farouqi, with Gohar Rasheed playing the lead role.
However, Akhtar is currently entangled in a legal dispute with the creators of his biopic, “Rawalpindi Express.” In a recent development, the former fast bowler has obtained a court order halting the production and release of the project.
Months after disassociating himself from what he once referred to as his dream project, Akhtar has relinquished all rights to the story of his life.
Directed and produced by Dubai-based filmmaker Faraz Qaiser, the project would have depicted the journey to stardom of one of the fastest bowlers in cricket history.
On the professional front, Umer Aalam has recently appeared in various projects, including Raqs-e-Bismil, Daraar, Nehar, Pehli Si Muhabbat, and Shehnai.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
