Featuring a star-studded cast including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Humaima Malick, The Legend of Maula Jatt was a massive hit in Pakistan. It became the highest-grossing Punjabi film ever and broke numerous records, including being the highest-grossing Pakistani film and the second-highest-grossing film in the UK for 2022. It also emerged as the most-watched South Asian film in Norway.
The film’s release is notable as it marks the first Pakistani film to appear on Indian screens since Bol in 2011. The Legend of Maula Jatt, which tells the tale of the epic clash between Maula Jatt and Noori Natt, is a modern reimagining of Yunus Malik’s 1979 classic Maula Jutt.
