The investigation into the fake video of Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari has made significant progress, with the government identifying the suspects who are expected to be apprehended soon. Sources from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reveal that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has been formed under the leadership of Assistant Director Rana Shawaz to handle the case. The team has successfully traced the culprits behind the video.

Additionally, the FIA’s cybercrime wing has summoned Falak Javed, an activist of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in connection with the case. Despite notices being posted at his residence, Javed has not appeared for questioning. The FIA has also contacted NADRA to help identify the social media accounts involved. It has been discovered that some of the videos were uploaded from accounts managed by overseas Pakistanis.
