Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar has dismissed the idea of early elections, emphasizing the government’s intention to complete its full term. Speaking at a media briefing at the Parliament House, Tarar stated that while opposition leaders might wish for early elections, the government is committed to the constitutional mandate, which stipulates a five-year term for assemblies.

He affirmed that elections would be held at the scheduled time, as there are no conditions currently necessitating an early election. Tarar also addressed allegations from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub, who accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of spreading hatred between the army and the PTI. The law minister suggested that Ayub should provide evidence to substantiate his claims and stressed the importance of national unity and avoiding divisive rhetoric.
