Sadaf Kanwal Opens Up About Facing Family Backlash Over Modelling Career

Pakistani supermodel and actress Sadaf Kanwal recently revealed the challenges she encountered from her family when she decided to pursue a career in modelling.

In a candid interview, Kanwal shared that her entry into the fashion industry sparked considerable resistance from her father and brother, leading to a two-year period where they did not communicate with her. Despite this opposition, she found unwavering support from her mother, who encouraged her to pursue her dreams.

However, her family’s initial reaction was characterized by anger and disapproval. “When my family discovered I was pursuing modelling, my father and brother were deeply upset and refused to speak to me for two years,” Kanwal recounted.

Despite the initial challenges, Kanwal persevered, and over time, her family came to accept and support her career choice. “In the beginning, there was a lot of opposition from my father and brother, but eventually, they understood that modelling was my passion and respected my decision,” she affirmed.
