According to a report from a daily commuter residing in the vicinity, nighttime rain in Islamabad has been causing the underpass to fill with water. The resident noted that on both Sunday and Monday, officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were present at the site, utilizing motorized suction pumps to clear the rainwater.
This led to the underpass being temporarily closed for traffic, causing difficulties for vehicles heading towards Taramri Chowk. The commuter emphasized the need for the civic agency and other relevant departments to address this recurring issue, as it tends to occur every time there is even a minor amount of rainfall in the area.
