Rain Abandons Scotland vs England T20 World Cup Match

BRIDGETOWN – The Scotland vs. England match in Bridgetown was abandoned due to intermittent rains.

Scotland set a challenging 109-run target for England in the reduced 10-overs-a-side Group B match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. However, consistent rain prevented England from starting their chase, leading the umpires to abandon the match.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Scotland’s openers Michael Jones (45) and George Munsey (41) scored briskly before and after the rain interruption. Scotland reached 90 runs without losing a wicket in the 10-over match, setting England a 109-run target via the D/L method.
