ATC Judge Arshad Javed sanctioned the bail, requiring surety bonds valued at Rs500,000, following a presentation of arguments from both parties.

Special Prosecutor Mansoor Bukhari opposed the bail petition, asserting that the accused faced charges of inciting the public against the state. Dr. Yasmin Rashid had been under police detention for several months, with allegations including his purported involvement in various cases, such as the attack on the residence of the Lahore Corps Commander during the riots on May 9.
