PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to launch nationwide protests starting this Friday in response to the recent crackdown on its leadership following the Islamabad rally on September 8.
During a PTI core committee meeting held in Peshawar, key leaders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, decided to begin a series of nationwide demonstrations. The protests will also address the recent arrests of PTI leaders that occurred on the assembly floor.

In reaction to the events in Parliament the previous day, the Speaker has declared that actions will be taken against those responsible, including filing FIRs.
PTI leader Salman Akram Raja also held a press conference in Peshawar, where he criticized the recent legislation aimed at halting PTI’s rally. He argued that rallies have their own dynamics and should not be abruptly ended. Raja condemned the idea that only those who conform are deemed acceptable, labeling it an attack on the people of Pakistan.
