Masroor Warsi, the protocol officer for Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and his Canadian visitors were robbed in Karachi on Monday. The crime happened inside the boundaries of Joharabad police station in the Federal B neighborhoods, Block 9, close to the Razia Hospital Talwala stop. According to SHO Joharabad Inspector AD Chaudhary, the incident happened on Sunday around 4 o’clock.

Masroor and his guests were robbed at gunpoint at the street corner, according to the police, by four armed bandits riding two motorcycles.

More than a dozen individuals were seated at a neighboring tea shop when the bandits broke in and stole their pockets full of cash, credit cards, and other valuables.

The victims’ behalf has filed a preliminary complaint of the incident with the police, they claim.

The police are also attempting to obtain CCTV footage of the nearby areas. They endeavour to guarantee that the thieves are quickly apprehended and are in contact with the victims.

The number of street crimes increased in 2022 compared to 2021, according to Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho.

He claimed that whereas robberies claimed the lives of 75 people in 2021, they claimed the lives of 109 people in street crime-related occurrences during the previous year.
