Powerful Cold Wave Set to Grip Pakistan, Met Department Warn

The private weather forecasting company predicts the arrival of cold Siberian winds and the peak of winter conditions from Karachi to Kashmir in the coming days.

Yesterday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) projected predominantly cold and cloudy weather for most upper and western regions of the country. PMD forecasts a significant drop in temperatures in the northern areas.

Moreover, the Met Department has hinted at the likelihood of rainfall in northern Balochistan and western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, accompanied by snowfall in mountainous regions.

Additionally, there is a probability of light rain in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during the evening/night. Conversely, the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh are expected to encounter dense smog/fog.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
