The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted widespread rain, thunderstorms, and possible hailstorms across several regions in the days leading up to Eidul Fitr. The wet spell is expected to hit between March 25 and 27, particularly affecting upper and central areas, with snowfall forecasted over mountainous regions.
Regions likely to experience showers include Buner, Dir, Malakand, Swabi, Charsadda, Abbottabad, and Peshawar. Additionally, areas such as Karak, Lakki Marwat, North and South Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan may see a mix of rain, hail, and snowfall at higher altitudes.

Islamabad, the Potohar region, Murree, and Galiyat are also in line for rainfall and light snowfall, while central Punjab is expected to receive scattered showers. In Sindh, dust storms are likely on March 25 and 26, while Balochistan regions such as Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Musa Khel, Chaman, and Mastung are set to receive rain.
The Met Office has issued warnings for thunderstorms and hail, which could potentially damage power lines and solar panels. Landslides may also occur in hilly areas due to moderate to heavy rainfall. Additionally, severe hailstorms in upper Punjab, Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa pose a risk to standing crops, particularly wheat.
Residents and farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures in anticipation of the impending weather conditions.
