Passing Out Event for PMA 149 Long Course Hosted In Kakul

The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul hosted the passing-out ceremony for the 149th PMA Long Course, as announced by the military’s media wing on Saturday.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided insights into the passing-out parade, which included cadets from the 149th PMA Long Course, 14th Mujahid Course, 68th Integrated Course, and 23rd Lady Cadet Course. Additionally, 49 cadets from friendly nations were part of the graduating cohort. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, presided over the event as the Chief Guest, with General Metin Gürak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, as the Guest of Honour.

During the ceremony, General Mirza reviewed the parade, delivered an address, and presented awards to outstanding cadets. The prestigious Sword of Honour was conferred upon Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Nauman Abdullah, while the President’s Gold medal was awarded to Company Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdullah Javed from the 149th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal went to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Fahad Bin Aqil Al Towarqi Al Fallaj from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Various other awards, including the COAS Cane and Commandant’s Canes, were presented to distinguished cadets from different courses. General Mirza congratulated the graduating cadets and their families, commending the PMA’s legacy of producing exceptional military leaders.
