Pakistan plans to offer scholarships to Bangladeshi students for admission into its top universities.
An Education Ministry official said they are coordinating with leading universities to finalize a proposal. The Pakistani High Commissioner has already met with Bangladeshi officials in Dhaka to discuss the initiative, following a request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote higher education for Bangladeshi students in Pakistan.
“We are in discussions,” confirmed another education official.
When asked about the number of scholarships, the official stated that it is still in the early stages but expects a significant offering.
Pakistan already provides scholarships to students from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka through the Higher Education Commission.
