Pakistan Railways will close its offices for Muharram

Pakistan Railways has announced that all railway offices across the country will be closed on July 17 in observance of the 10th of Muharram, according to a notification from railway authorities.

The closure aims to honor the significance of the 10th of Muharram, which is a day of mourning and reflection for the Muslim community. This decision applies to all railway reservation offices. Railway officials emphasized that normal operations of all railway reservation offices and other facilities will resume without any disruption after July 17.

“We have decided to keep all railway offices closed on July 17 in respect of the solemn occasion of the 10th of Muharram,” stated officials, highlighting the temporary nature of the closure. This decision allows railway staff to observe the day in accordance with religious traditions while ensuring that services remain unaffected before and after the designated closure date.
