Azan Awais, playing at No. 3, played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s successful run chase, scoring an impressive century. Azan remained unbeaten at 105 off 138 balls, showcasing exceptional batting skills. Pakistan took control of the game right from the beginning. Opting to bowl first, they restricted India to 259/9. Indian openers Adarsh Singh and captain Uday Saharan, along with Sachin Dhas, managed half-centuries, setting a defendable score. Dhas’ quickfire 58 off 42 balls played a crucial role in helping India reach a competitive total. Medium pacer Mohammad Zeeshan emerged as the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking 4 wickets in his 10 overs.

In response, Pakistan faced an early setback with the loss of Shamyl Hussain’s wicket. However, the rest of the innings looked remarkably smooth for Pakistan. The Indian bowling unit struggled to apply pressure and conceded 19 runs in extras. Despite India’s previous win against Afghanistan, they couldn’t sustain their momentum in the second match.

Azan Awais received the Player of the Match award for his outstanding century. Speaking after the game, Azan attributed his success to the great batting pitch, emphasizing the need to handle the pacers effectively in the early part of the innings.

With this victory, Pakistan has positioned itself at the top of the Group A table with two wins in two matches. India is set to play their next match against Nepal in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup 2023.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
