Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the strengthening of brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia during a news conference in Riyadh alongside Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. He noted that both nations are committed to working together under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to achieve progress and prosperity not only for their peoples but also for the entire Muslim Ummah.
Sharif expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support in securing the IMF program and described his meetings in the Kingdom as reassuring. He highlighted discussions on significant, mutually beneficial projects, stating that the memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed a few weeks ago are now in the implementation phase. The Prime Minister expressed optimism about visiting Saudi Arabia by mid-next month and underscored his confidence in meeting project timelines.

Additionally, he mentioned that Pakistan will focus on producing a skilled workforce to contribute to the Kingdom’s development.
In response, Saudi Minister of Investment Al-Falih highlighted the recent conclusion of twenty-seven MoUs during his visit to Pakistan, which have now expanded to thirty-four agreements valued at $2.8 billion. He noted that five of these MoUs are already operational and financed, generating value for both countries. Furthermore, he mentioned that some agreements have led to exports from Pakistan, including a Saudi investor acquiring land for the establishment of an integrated medical complex.
