[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Jemima Khan, the British filmmaker, producer, and former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan, has refuted allegations of financing vloggers to garner support for her ex-husband’s political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The accusations were made by Asif Ali Zardari, Co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), in a recent interview with a private news channel.
Responding to a post on X, formerly Twitter, the British socialite dismissed the claims, stating, “This is obviously not true.” Jemima emphasized that her sole wish is for “peace & prosperity in Pakistan.”

Sigh. I will only ever wish for peace & prosperity in Pakistan.— Jemima Goldsmith (@Jemima_Khan) December 11, 2023
During his interview, Zardari, when asked about the PTI’s potential return to parliament with a two-thirds majority, expressed disbelief, attributing such statements to vloggers residing abroad. He specifically alleged that Jemima was providing financial support to these bloggers, suggesting the existence of a lobby with distinct motives.

Zardari asserted that the former PTI chairman was not in favor of parliamentary democracy and instead favored a presidential system, characterizing it as a “cult democracy.”
He also mentioned Jemima’s mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, and referred to a documentary detailing how their family allegedly earned money through involvement in wars, particularly mentioning their engagement in the Egyptian conflict by recruiting British mercenaries.
Highlighting the influence of Pakistanis abroad, Zardari argued that they are often misled, lacking an accurate understanding of the situation within the country. He pointed out their reliance on polls that portray the PTI as a popular party.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
