[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Javed Afridi, the owner of PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi, has revealed that two new teams may be added to the Pakistan Super League next year (PSL).

Javed sparked PSL rumours when he confirmed two new teams during a recent Facebook Q&A session.

When asked about potential cities for the new teams by a curious fan, Afridi wasted no time in confirming that Sialkot and Faisalabad are in the running.

While the PSL management has not officially confirmed the addition of new teams, the news has sparked excitement among Pakistani cricket fans.

Previously, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Najam Sethi stated that due to high demand, the number of teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) could be increased to ten.

“There is a lot of pressure to expand the number of PSL teams, but Ehsan Mani and Ramiz Raja agreed with the franchises that only six teams will play in the next two years. It was, however, an eight-team project. We need to persuade the franchises to add two more teams. Nobody will lose anything; if a franchise loses, the PCB will accept responsibility. However, there is a high demand to include two more teams, and it will be more successful if many people express interest in participating. Let me tell you, if there were ten teams now, they would all be sold due to high demand “He stated.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
