Jake Paul showcased his boxing prowess on Saturday night, securing a decisive sixth-round TKO victory over BKFC star Mike Perry at Amalie Arena. Paul, a former YouTuber and Disney Channel star, dominated the fight with a series of powerful strikes that ultimately forced the referee to stop the bout.

Paul started strong, nearly achieving his promised early knockout with a significant blow in the first minute that sent Perry to the canvas. Though Perry quickly recovered, Paul maintained his aggressive approach, landing another knockdown and causing a cut over Perry’s eye in the second round. Perry’s attempts to fend off Paul’s attacks were largely unsuccessful, with Paul continually cornering him throughout the fight.

By the sixth round, Paul unleashed a barrage of punches that left Perry unable to continue, prompting the referee’s intervention. The fight had been preceded by dramatic build-up, including Paul’s theatrical entrance as a gladiator and Perry’s antics involving a mascot.

Perry, previously undefeated in BKFC with a 14-8 record, was considered a formidable opponent. Despite this, Paul’s performance underscored his advancement in boxing skills. Conor McGregor, a part-owner of BKFC, reacted to Perry’s loss by claiming to have fired him from the league, though McGregor’s authority in this matter is unclear.

Paul, who now boasts a 9-1 record with six KOs, continues to face scrutiny for his choice of opponents, but recent wins, including consecutive knockouts, are starting to address his critics. He was initially set to fight boxing legend Mike Tyson, but that bout has been postponed to November due to Tyson’s health issues. Paul remains confident that the fight will eventually take place.
