Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that Iran deserves to be destroyed due to its threats of war.
“A regime that threatens destruction should itself be destroyed,” Katz posted on X on Saturday.
He also emphasized that Israel would respond forcefully to Hezbollah if it continues to attack Israel from Lebanon and remains close to the border.

In response to Israel’s potential military aggression in Lebanon, Iran’s UN mission warned of a devastating war.
“If Israel launches a full-scale military attack, it will lead to an obliteration war,” the Iranian mission stated on X, formerly known as Twitter, adding that all options, including full participation from all resistance fronts, are on the table.
Israel has been engaged in conflicts with Hamas in Gaza since the October 2023 attack that resulted in numerous casualties on both sides. Meanwhile, tensions with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border have also escalated, alongside Israeli strikes in Syrian territory.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant recently expressed a preference for diplomatic solutions to address these ongoing conflicts, although Katz, a member of Israel’s security cabinet, has also been vocal on these issues.
