Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service Rescue 1122 has announced 800 regular vacancies for candidates across the province. The recruitment drive includes positions for emergency medical technicians, fire rescuers and drivers. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) until October 15, 2026.
According to the recruitment advertisement, applicants must be Pakistani citizens holding a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile. Selected candidates may be required to serve in any district of the province. The department has also encouraged women and minority candidates who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the available positions.
The largest number of vacancies has been announced for emergency medical technicians. A total of 350 posts are available in BPS-12. Candidates applying for these positions must have a relevant paramedical diploma, nursing qualification or LHV qualification. Preference will be given to candidates holding diplomas in Health Technology and Surgical Technology.
The department has also announced 175 fire rescuer positions in BPS-11. Applicants for these posts must have completed FSc Pre-Engineering or hold a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
Another 275 vacancies have been announced for drivers in BPS-06. Driver applicants must have at least a middle-level education, meet the required physical fitness standards and possess a valid HTV or LTV driving licence issued by the Government of Pakistan. Fresh driving licence application tokens will not be accepted.
The general age limit for all three categories is 22 to 35 years. Age relaxation will be provided according to applicable government rules. Candidates must meet all eligibility conditions by the closing date for applications. Government and semi-government employees will also need to apply through the proper channel and fulfil the relevant NOC requirements.
Candidates will have to pass mandatory physical tests as part of the recruitment process. Male applicants must complete a one-mile run within seven minutes, while female candidates must complete the same distance within nine minutes. The minimum height requirement is five feet six inches for men and five feet two inches for women. Male candidates must also meet the specified chest measurement requirement of 33 inches.
The recruitment process will include physical and screening tests, followed by further selection stages. The department has set a minimum passing threshold of 40 percent for the screening or written test and interview for the relevant posts. The selection criteria will include educational qualifications, the ETEA test and interview marks.
ETEA will also conduct skill tests where required. Driver candidates, for example, will have to undergo a driving test as part of the screening process. Candidates taking the initial physical and screening tests will do so provisionally, while their eligibility will be checked later by the appointing authority.
Shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters. Applicants will not be entitled to travel or daily allowances for appearing in the physical test, written examination or interview.
Candidates must bring their original CNIC and relevant educational documents during the recruitment process. Original certificates, degrees and mark sheets will be checked during the quality verification stage. ETEA will verify qualifications with the relevant educational boards, councils and universities.
Candidates holding foreign degrees will need to provide an HEC equivalence certificate. Diplomas issued by boards or councils that have been banned under relevant Khyber Pakhtunkhwa TEVTA notifications will not be accepted.
Those selected after the recruitment process will undergo a medical examination at Police & Services Hospital in Peshawar. Successful candidates will then be required to complete six months of mandatory training, or the duration prescribed by the department, and pass the required examinations.
Selected candidates must also provide a Police Clearance Certificate before receiving an appointment offer. They will be required to sign a surety bond confirming their acceptance of the service conditions.
The online application process started on September 15 and will remain open until October 15, 2026. Applicants can access the ETEA application portal, create an account or log in and complete the application according to the instructions.
Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application for each position and pay the applicable fee separately. Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements before submitting their forms.
